About studies

The first one-year program of postgraduate studies in Poland based on a unique education model, conducted in close cooperation with a leader in the Polish power electronics industry.

Postgraduate studies in Power Electronics prepare graduates for work in the area of the design, research and operation of state-of-the-art power electronics converters. The team of instructors includes academic staff members of the Warsaw University of Technology – the leading technical university in Poland – and employees of the MEDCOM company – a leading manufacturer of such converters. Our studies combine solid academic knowledge and the latest research achievements with long-standing experience in numerous areas of the application of power electronics.

The studies place particular emphasis on familiarizing the participants with the latest achievements in the area of:

  • topologies of power electronics converters,
  • their components (including semiconductor devices based on silicon carbide, SiC, and gallium nitride, GaN),
  • practical protection and measurement systems,
  • microprocessor systems and their software,
  • microcontroller interfaces,
  • battery and supercapacitor systems.
